CHON TRAVIS

To start, I would just like to say thanks to all the folks who have made a huge part of my life travel with me. Those who came from the days of Loose Change and stumbled with me through the short lived Envain, and even saw the light when I decided to leave Love Equals Death. All of those steps had to be made to reach this point. I am now just a solo artist. I will be performing with a backing band for some shows, but as of now, just me.
I have just finished up my first solo full length record titled "Life Atop The Trees". It's due to be released in May and ready for the summer season. The record will be published by Drop Anchor Entertainment. I will also be releasing my first solo 7" record to be released in the fall season by Europe's Black Cat Records. I will be touring very viciously, so I will probably hit your town sometime by this year's end. I'm excited about the possibilties of this solo venture. There are no ceilings or margins and I can't wait to share my interpretation of life with you. I am also preparing to shoot a video for the song "Long Way Back"(life atop the trees version) and I will be posting a full track list on my webpage at chontravis.com on the message board.
I hope this explains what's up with me and sheds a bit of light for those with concern. I'm not a "blogger", so my story telling may be offsetting to some, but it's my blog dammit!.Go read New Found Glory's blog if you want frills and fan fare. I've actually never read there blogs, so that's probably not nice to say, but I bet there some real giddy shit coming out of there mouths/minds. They just seem really overly excited all the time. Anyway, where the fuck did I go? Lots of cool shit coming up. I also want to let everyone know that if you or someone you know wants to be in a music video, we will be casting for the "Long Way Back" video very soon. I will be posting a description of the lead roles on the message board as well as sending it out first to the website mailing list. I'll try my best to keep everyone updated with the changing of events and occurances as they unfold. It's beautiful where I am. I'm going to hop on my bike and tool around.
